3M™ PELTOR™ WS™ LiteCom Plus Headsets with Bluetooth® opens up a world of communication. You become a mobile, hands-free communication center, the built-in two-way radio and wireless connections to your computer and cell phone.

You can take your calls, or stream music thanks to electronics that let you switch between functions. The level-dependent technology lets you hear ambient sounds such as external alarm signals or approaching vehicles in low noise.

It also allows face to face communication at close distance. Robust design (IP54 certified), clear controls and an intuitive menu system.

Applications

While the ProTac XPI is primarily a bridge between your hearing protection and external devices (like a mobile phone or a separate handheld radio), the WS™ LiteCom Plus is a self-contained “communication hub.”

The defining difference is the built-in two-way radio. This makes it the go-to choice for teams that need to talk to each other over long distances without carrying extra equipment.

  • Large-Scale Manufacturing & Assembly Lines


    Because the radio is built into the earcups, workers on long production lines can communicate across the factory floor (up to 2 km or 1.2 miles) without needing to carry a bulky handheld radio on their belt. Example: A quality control manager at one end of a line alerting a machine operator 300 meters away of a potential issue.

  • Mining and Tunneling


    In underground or confined environments where line-of-sight is impossible and carrying extra gear is a safety hazard, the LiteCom Plus provides a streamlined solution. Example: Coordinating heavy vehicle movement in mines where noise levels are extremely high and situational awareness of approaching vehicles is life-saving.

  • Crane Operations & Rigging


    This is a "high-stakes" application. Crane operators need hands-free, instantaneous communication with riggers on the ground. Voice-Operated Transmission (VOX): Allows the operator to keep both hands on the controls; the headset transmits automatically as soon as they start speaking.

  • Facility Maintenance & Utilities


    Ideal for technicians working on power grids, water treatment plants, or large HVAC systems where they may be separated by floors or large metal structures. Bluetooth Integration: While the team talks over the built-in radio, a technician can still receive a priority call from a client or supervisor on their smartphone via Bluetooth
